Erasing Time countdown a book a day giveaway

Welcome to another day of my giveaway. This is probably the longest I've gone on this blog without mentioning chocolate. I hope you'all don't feel deprived.  Anyway, it's only sixteen more days until Erasing Time comes out. You can buy a copy at the book launch on Aug 28th, at Changing Hands Bookstore in Tempe, AZ. (Or at your local book store if you don't happen to live in Arizona--and as it is currently the same temperature as the inside of a dryer, I don't blame you for not living in Arizona.)

Next up is All's Fair in Love, War, and High School--And yes, I know that my covers have gotten better over the years.  This was one of my earlier books.

You can look at the Polish cover if you'd rather.  I like the fact that the Polish cover proudly exclaims that 1,000,000 sprzedanych egzemplarzy!  Not many people can claim half so many sprzedanych egzemplarzy!

Don't worry though. I won't send you a Polish copy.  Leave a comment telling me about one of your bad days in school.

Let me know if you're a follower, as that will earn you an extra chance.  Blogging or tweeting about the giveaway and mentioning that you'll be naming your first born child after me will earn you another chance. (Okay, you don't actually have to do that--but I would appreciate you telling other people about the giveaway.) And yeah, if you tweet/blog you'd better put in the link for that. Twitter and Google search are supposed to let me know when my name pops up in the internet, but it only works about a third of the time and I'm too untechnical to figure out how to fix that problem.  I'll ship to the US or Canada, other winners will get an ebook.

You're allowed to comment on both blogs--and you might as well, as it doubles your chances. The CJ Hill one is: http://cjhillbooks.blogspot.com/ (I'll throw the Goodread comments into the mix too.)

When your chance for getting into college and your date for the prom are all on the line…

Sixteen-year-old Samantha Taylor is used to having things go her way. She's head cheerleader and has all the right friends and a steady stream of boyfriends. But when she tanks the SATs, her automatic assumptions about going to college don't appear to be so automatic anymore. She determines that her only hope for college admission is to win the election for student body president. Unfortunately, with her razor wit and acid tongue she's bettersuited to dishing out insults than winning votes.

When she brashly bets her classmate Logan that she can go two weeks without uttering a single insult, Samantha immediately realizes that she may have bitten off more than she can chew. And when her current boyfriend dumps her, less than three weeks before the prom, it couldn't be a worse time to be forced to keep her opinions to herself. Finding a new boyfriend will be a challenge now that Logan shadows her every move, hoping to catch her slipping back into her old ways. Samantha is determined to win the election and find a dream date for the prom, no matter what it takes. After all . . . all's fair in love and war (and high school!).

A better question might be, "What was NOT an embarrassing day for you in high school?"

I follow your blog, by the way. And I curse Random.org every time it doesn't choose me.

i know it's going to be a bad day when i'm sitting on half of the 3 seater on the school bus. it tends to go downhill from there.

I was a flag girl and halftime was almost over! We had about 5 seconds left of music and routine. I was right up by the sideline on the 50 yard line and the dance team was standing just off the sideline ready to move onto the field when we were done. On the very last move, I hit myself right on the back of the head and I saw all the dancers looking at me. Some had those "Ooh! that had to hurt!" faces and a couple others were trying not to laugh. I was so embarrased...not to mention I had also dropped my flag and was stuck posing like a statue with nothing in my hand. The 50 yrd line is not the place you want to mess up on since thats where everyone pretty much looks. And my head hurt for the entire weekend >_< I am a follower! <3

Many embarrassing days at school. Do I have to pick just one?

**ADD ON** How come when I'm commenting I never can prove on the first time that I'm not a robot? Oh jeez.

I was rear ended on my way to the first day of high school. I was forced to show up half way through the day in a neck brace. Awful way to begin "the best years" of my life.

You guys make me laugh! Samantha--my daughter does color guard. I'm always afraid she's going to impale herself with her flag pole.

I have yet to convince blogger I'm not a robot--it keeps asking.

I've blocked out all memories of High School, and I think my experience wasn't as bad as most! I wouldn't return to it even if I could have that 17 year old body again.

For all of us who have trouble proving we're not robots, I think I must be invisible or randomly in another universe as not only do I have trouble with these things but the "hands free" devices in public restrooms never work for me either.

On my very first day of high school, I had just had double foot surgery and I was stuck in these awful sandal-type shoes with a knee-high cotton sock. I was so embarrassed! It was a horrible day for me...I felt so judged!

This is one of my favorite books of yours. Umm. . .embarassing moment. . .let's think. I tripped down the stairs leading into my high school one day after I got off the bus, with all the other people who rode buses watching. Not fun :?

I follow you! One time during my second week of high school, after I had just transferred to a new district where I knew nobody, I slid down the banister on the stairs after PE in my PE shorts, which were mesh and way faster than I expected at sliding, and right then this guy walked out from a door at the bottom of the stairs and I totally slid down and knocked him over. Meanwhile, the rest of my PE class watched this from the top of the stairs. I'm a senior now, so this was three years ago, and to this day, some guys from that PE class call me "the girl that fell". :/

(This is the same comment as on your other blog, but I can't think of anything better!)
I remember one day in high school where I had a really bad, nose-drippy cold and couldn't keep enough Kleenex on me. While a boy in my class was at my desk helping me with something, my runny nose dripped on the paper!

Dreaming every day that I missed the bus--then, realizing half the time that I did miss it. I'm a follower too.

Well I happen to be home schooled so it's hard to find a bad day, but probably the times when I'm super tired and fall asleep on my Math Books. At least their good for something like that.

I can't remember that far back... celebrating 45th reunion this year. I didn't like most of them then and doubt if I've changed that much with age. I think we were all a bit strange in the 60s. Don't hold that against me.

One day I left school, pulled out into the street, and realized my tire was flat. I called my mom to tell her, but it took some time to convince her I wasn't lying.

It was April Fool's day.

Wow! Some true gems here. I'm glad (or depressed--I can't decide which) that I am not alone in those horrifying high school moments.
