My Double Life Give Away

Andie, my intrepid rent-a-teenager, has come up with a book trailer for My Double Life. She did an awesome job, and special thanks to Arizona's own Jonnie and Brookie for letting me use their song: Missing Me Crazy. The first time I heard it, I knew I wanted it for the trailer because the chorus: You'd be missing me crazy if you only knew my name, fits so well with the novel.

For a chance to win the book, just watch the trailer and leave a comment about your favorite part. Followers get double chances, with the almighty Random Number Generator, so if you follow, follow me (sung to the tune of: Do As I'm Doing) be sure to let me know.

I liked the part where the star expanded and turned into the picture of the crowd. :-)

i like the set up of the story- the amazing opportunity of a lifetime(at an unexpected tremendous personal expense...)while the song "you'll be missing me crazy!" is playing. very cool!

I like that it ends on "If you only knew my name." I also liked the hand heart with the question "Is it love if your boyfriend doesn't know your name?"

Cute! I like the "hot rockstar boyfriend" line. ;) That would hook me.

No really, the thing that makes me most interested is the father plotline and I am so intrigued at how pretending to be famous would get her closer to him!

Very impressive work, especially for a teenager. Looks like another one of your wonderful books. Can't wait to read it.

My favorite part was the hands shaped into a heart and how it questions if it's really love if your boyfriend doesn't even know who you are, which, to me, also asks, what makes you who you are?

I'm a follower, I think.

and p.s., I just finished this book this weekend, and it was wonderful. Thanks for writing it and putting so much effort into it. :)

I liked the part about how it said is it true love when the boyfriend doesn't even know your real name? This book seems so cool!

Great trailer!

I liked the part where it says "it's hard to find out who you are when you're pretending to be someone else" (or something like that...I am too old to remember exactly...but it seems like a really deep statement to me!)

I have to agree that the song really fits the mood of the book - based on my experience with your writing and the description of the book.

I've been a follower for a while now.

I look forward to introducing you to my daughter at the conference next weekend. (She thinks it's cool I know some of her favorite authors.)

I loved the whole thing but especially the premise of a teen pretending to be something she isn't. I have a particular teen living in my house who needs to read this story.

Love the trailer -- especially the job description. Is there an opening for me? Can't wait to read it. I'm sure it will be as fun as witty as all of your other books!

I love the part where the star turns into the crowd picture and the picture of the girl with a guitar

I like the heart shaped hands. When they reprint your book you should take the cute girl from the video and use her as your cover model for the book.

I'm a hopeless romantic that couldn't help but love the hands shaped like hearts with the sunset in the background. That along with the heartache of the boyfriend not knowing her name, but clearly she's taken with him. Gotta read this!!!!!! And yeah, I'm a follower. Follower, stalker, fan... :)

That was very cute! I loved the close up picture of the guitar.

The music is great, I liked the white font on the black background, and the list of benefits of being a rockstar.

The art with the arms of fans in the air was perfect too.

The music is a perfect match to the script. The hand formed heart is cool. I'm a follower. I tried to get it at B&N Awatukee - the clerk didn't know your name but did find My Fair Godmother on the shelf. I told her thank you - but I already had that one - please order it for next time.

Honestly, it's not so much the trailer (which rocks--music is perfect, images great, text piques interest) but how you took what *could* have been a cliche story idea and make it REAL and made it matter.

This is why we loves your books.

Nina Cook said...

I loved the part where the trailer listed the "pros" of a job as a double - Money, Fame, Adoring Crowds - and made it seem like there could be no cons . . . and then . . . there were - som pretty big ones!

I think we all need the reminder about not being able to find ourselves when we're pretending to be someone else.

The song choice was great and I really liked the concept of the story-line. Literally a chance of a lifetime. Very cool!
