The Bad Boy Appeal part 1

I'm deep in revisions, so today my commentary on the Bad Boy phenomena is going to be this very funny music video, called Nice Guys.

The first lines are:
Nice guys finish last,
that's why I'll treat you like trash.
It's not what I really want to do,
but you only date bad guys,
so I'll give it my best try
to treat you the way you want me to.

It's funny because there's a grain of truth to it. I mean, there must be or we wouldn't love those fictional bad boys so much. (Warning for my sensitive readers. The song contains the h word.)

I think the mooing was my favorite part. I've never heard that in a song before.

One of my brothers once said to a young man. "I stopped being nice to girls because they don't like nice guys." His wife and another sister in law protested this comment. I thought it was strange that they didn't realize that although some girls like nice guys they were not one of those girls.

Definitely liked the mooing. :)

OhMyGods! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ryan (the Mooo guy, lol) And I've actually seen this video before...so funny! Definitely check out some of his other videos! (I recommend the Christmas Swag music video...since we're all getting into the Holiday spirit :))

That is just plain true. more people should see this video, and how ironic it is that some guys are like this!

Dena and Allerednic, I definitely give the writers bonus points for creativity. You don't hear a lot of mooing in songs these days.

Connie, I hope you pointed that out to them. And argh--I hope my daughters always like the nice guys.

Jessica, My kids have shown me some of their stuff that's really funny. I'm not sure if it all is--maybe my kids just don't show me the inappropriate stuff.

Liliana, my favorite line of Christmas swag is: I decorate my decorations. Um, I see nothing wrong with that.

Natalie, yep, every teenage girl should see it just so she thinks about the message she sends out to guys.

I'm actually on the disliking fictional bad guys end of the spectrum.

Marissa, yay! I like to hear that. And I must admit that the entire time I read the Shadow Hunter series I wanted someone to slap Jace. So I guess I'm not really big on the bad boys either.
