Just One Wish give-away (The nuclear summer version)

I have bemoaned before the utter lack of influence I have over my covers. In fact, it seems like the fastest way for a cover to get scrapped is if I say, "I love it!" Apparently my publishers think I have no taste (my children think the same thing) so if I approve of something it is a sure sign to them that it needs to be changed.

Alas, I loved the Just One Wish cover. And in my defense, I was not alone. It won the best YA cover award on one blog.

But my publisher has changed it despite my protests. They have pink-ified it. Yep, the beautiful blue background is gone and now it looks like that sunny day has been turned into some bizarre nuclear holocaust.

Still, in order to celebrate the paperback edition, I'm doing a give-away. In the book, Annika goes to Hollywood in order to find and bring back a famous TV star to meet her six-year-old brother, before he has dangerous surgery. During the course of her quest, she pretends to be an extra on the TV star's show and is actually recruited into a scene.

If you could sneak onto any TV show--still running or already cancelled--which one would it be? Leave your answer in the comment box and if you're a follower, mention it since followers get double chances.

Cheers! (That was a salutation and not my TV series of choice. Oh, oh, triple chances if you can guess which TV series I would choose.)

I'm a Facebook follower! And I'm numero-uno on the comments list. My day is just getting better and better.

Saved by the Bell. That was my all time favorite show growing up.

I'd love to be on IT Crowd! I don't think they'll ever have any Americans on that show, though. ):

I like the pink, but I agree that the blue is stunning. I loved Little House on the Prairie as a kid and I really wanted to meet Laura and Michael Landon - Charles.

I'd love to be on Taiwan's TV show, Guess Guess Guess. The host, Jackie is such a funny person, although he's already 40 or 50 years old.

I'd be on the Disney channel show "Sonny with a Chance" because I guess I'm a 14 year old girl stuck in a 26 year old mom's body. =)

I am a follower too.

I don't have cable so I don't have a good selection of shows you'd be on, but I'll guess that you'd go on The Middle on ABC. It's a hilarious show.

TV show I want back? Jericho, or Moonlight, or My Ex List...

I would definitely go back to Lois and Clark the new adventures of Superman.

I'm a follower and I'd love to find my way onto the set of Alias. When my hair was long I had multiple people telling me I looked like Jennifer Garnder, so maybe I could even be her double (instead of one of her victims) :) I'm guessing (because of your wishing book) that maybe you'd like to be on I Dream of Jeanie? Yes? No? Well I can't wait to find out.

I'm a newbie follower. I guessed "I Dream of Jeanie" for you, too!

If I could walk onto Glee and dance and sing my heart out, then I'd be in seventh heaven. Now, if only I had a voice that people who love books didn't throw books at... : )

McGyver. I want to be in an episode where McGyver stops the gulf oil spill with a Swiss army knife, a fish net, and some Gorilla Glue, and then cleans up all the oil with a few common (nontoxic) household chemicals.

I would totally sneak onto the set of Dr. Who while they were filming. Yeah, it would be awesome, though I think I'd need a lot more than a snake. I had to comment just to say that.

And yep, I'm following this blog.

I'm a follower, but not a TV-watcher; never have been. I don't even know what shows are on, but I do remember some popular ones from my youth (not that I watched them). So I'd go for Home Improvement, or Full House. Or I love Lucy, which is what I'll guess for you.

I would have to sneak onto the set of Chuck and hang out with Adam Baldwin. It's amazing how much he can convey by just grunting.

I also follow your blog! Just One Wish is my fav. of your books (so far, but I'm willing to change my mind as I read more). Maybe the pink is supposed to be sunset?

I'm a follower. (Although announcing that way feels like I'm giving the wrong answer in Sunday School.)

And, I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I would have loved to be an extra on Growing Pains. It was junior high. What can I say?

Gilligan's Island would be fun, I always thought it was funny when random people would come to the island and be able get off again, but none of the regulars.

I don't know... I think I have two.
My Disney show would be Sonny with a Chance, gotta love Chad Dylan Cooper.
And my other show would be Glee, I mean a cool musical highschool! What else would you want, oh, a cute male lead, and Glee has one!

Now that I've made myself seem totally superficial, I'm a follower!

I would choose Roswell, the science-fiction TV series about teen aliens! YES!!! It was so good, but has been cancelled for some time!

I think you would choose Glee . . .

P.S. - I also liked the blue cover better!

I would be on Full House. That show is legit. It was my favorite! None of our channels show it now. Thank Goodness for YouTube!

I'm sorry the bow-tied crowd keeps messing up you book covers. Just One Wish was my favorite one. But on the brightside its better than the cartoon pictures you used to have!

I am a follower on blogspot.

I think you would be on...the electric company? I have no idea. One minute your joking around and the next your talking about STD's. I'm a confused child.

I would definitely sneak on to the set of NCIS. It's funny, suspenseful, and has the most creative characters! What more could you want? Or possibly Saved By the Bell. It's just so classic! I can't decide. I'm also a follower and I have to agree that I prefer the blue cover to the pink.

Gilmore Girls! I loved that show!

I'd be on Gilligan's Island because it amuses me. Sadly, they don't play it anymore. :( What do people have against the classics?
Personally, I like the blue cover better, but it's what's inside that counts, right? :)
I'm not an actual follower but I check your blog everyday. Does that count? And if I saw you at the store or something, I would totally follow you around. But let's not dwell on my stalkerish thoughts. :)

I think you'd sneak onto... uhm... MacGuyver?

Manelle said...

Doctor Who, no battle. :) It's totally my favorite and if I was gonna sneak onto the set, I'd first of all have to get to the British Isles. That would be awesome, and then after I sneak on the set and use my fake British accent to do something amazing, I'd talk the BBC into hiring me to their art department, and I could help design the show! ...Yeah, this is going to be awesome, if I tried that, which I probably wont. (oh yeah, and Matt Smith is hot so that's also a bonus)

I'm a follower too. (although not through google, through yahoo but I think that still counts. :)

BTW, love you books! "My Double Life" kept me up til 4 in the morning, but it was worth it. :)

I would go on the set of Parenthood because I am in love with that show and I think the cast would be so fun to hang out with for a day. I hope it returns after it's first season! But then I think So You Think You Can Dance would be pretty awesome too. In fact, I'm going to guess that that's the show you'd want to go backstage on.
